CMAT 2027 exam date  

The final exam date for CMAT 2027 is not public. In earlier years, the test took place in January. So January 2027 seems possible. Still, only the official NTA notice will confirm it.

About the test pattern  

CMAT is a computer based exam. In the last attempt, you got 180 minutes to solve 100 questions.

The form opening date for CMAT 2027 is not shared yet. In the prior cycle, the online form began in October.

You first fill the online form on the website. You add your name, phone or email details, and your education record. Then you upload the documents asked for. After that, you pay the application fee.

Do not keep everything for the final day. Sometimes a document may not upload, or a payment can fail. If that happens, you will need extra time to correct it and try again

CMAT 2027 eligibility: who can apply

For 2027, the eligibility terms are expected to match the latest NTA guidelines.

Minimum qualification and age limits

You must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream. If you are in your final year, you can still apply, based on NTA rules. In the last CMAT round, no upper age cap was mentioned.

Once the CMAT 2027 information bulletin comes out, read it carefully. That bulletin is the final reference before you submit your form.

CMAT 2027 syllabus: which subjects are in it?

CMAT 2027 is split into five parts.  

1) Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation  

2) Logical Reasoning  

3) Language Comprehension  

4) General Awareness  

5) Innovation and Entrepreneurship  

In the latest paper, each part had 20 questions. The total comes to 100 questions.  

For marks, a correct option earns 4 marks. If the answer is wrong, 1 mark is cut.  

• At first, the syllabus may look broad.  

• But once you start reading, it feels more manageable.  

• Study one part first, then move on.  

• Doing practice often makes a big difference.

Start with a mock test for CMAT 2027.  

Do not burn the first days on a fancy timetable. Then look at your score. Find the parts where you slipped.

• You may be losing time in Quant.  

• You may be missing the basic marks in Language Comprehension.  

• You may need to spend more time on General Awareness.

Sort these gaps quickly and move on.

In Quant and Logical Reasoning, doing questions helps more than just reading. Solve problems often. Do not wait for the end to practice.

For General Awareness, read the daily news. Pay attention to business updates and current happenings.

After your basics feel solid, try sectional tests. Next, attempt full mock papers.

Also, review every mock right after it ends. Your wrong answers show exactly what you missed.  

If a question took too long, it hints at a speed issue or a weak method.

What CMAT cutoff should you target?

There is no single CMAT cutoff that fits every college. Each institute picks its own percentile cut and decides how it will choose candidates.

Also, your CMAT score is not always the final step. In some colleges, they continue after the first shortlist. Later rounds can include a group discussion or a personal interview.

Rather than chasing one “magic” number, list a few colleges you want. Then read the latest admission rules for each one.

PGDM colleges that accept CMAT, can you apply to MGI?

Some PGDM colleges say they accept CMAT, but the setup may differ.  

So the label alone is not enough.
